Dispose of Unused Medications Safely

When you have a prescription medication that you no longer need, you can now dispose of it safely through a program sponsored by the Pullman Police Department.  By using the secure medication drop box in the PPD lobby your discarded drugs will be incinerated at a facility approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington Department of Ecology.  According to state law, the medications must be transported in the containers with the original labels attatched.  The labeling can be removed at the police department or the drugs can be placed in plastic zipper bags provided by the department.  For more information contact the Pullman Police Department
